Aby D. F. Mackreth The site at Orton Hall, near Peterborough was excavated in advance of roadworks and landscaping. An occupation area was revealed dating from the 1st to the 6th centuries which comprised barns and domestic buildings. One of the barns was in use as a brewery and it is likely that the site was of a relatively high status. A large quantity of Romano-British pottery was found and is discussed in detail.
