In this craftily written stage play, Leel has arrived for an interview. She thinks. But there is something odd about 'the company', and her interlocutors Cronby and Snodgrass are decidedly less than the full shilling. Her only option is to keep going, but her journey is taking her into a strange shadowland, and the more she learns, the less, she realises, she understands.
