In 1646 Sir Thomas Browne published a book refuting common misconceptions entitled 'Pseudodoxia Epidemica'. It cemented his reputation as an intellectual. Today. David Barnes, Wade Bradshaw and David Henningham have done the exact opposite, taking Browne's chapter headings as titles for their own prose and poetry; compounding the error.
