Eleanor Stratton takes a one-year sabbatical from her job as a personal shopper in a well-known London department store and rents on a house in the sleepy Kentish village of Stourton. She dreams that she will be able to create a sustainable art gallery business and possibly move to Kent permanently. Will it make a profit? Will the local people ever accept her as one of their own? And what will happen between her and the infuriating but annoyingly good-looking landowner Nick Preston?
