This is the true story of a young American couple, who decided one day to quit their jobs,
sell their house and car, and spend three-and-a-half months of their life,
traveling around the world. They made their way by cargo-passenger ships, half a dozen foreign airlines, by train, rickshaw, busses, and motor scooters. The story is told by way of letters written home and mailed from wherever their next stop happened to be.
The year was 1956. Reading the letters now, we cannot help but be astonished by how much this world of ours, as well as traveling, has changed in such a relatively short time.
