This book is an account of how the author dealt with the 'roller-coaster' of emotions she suffered as a result of the death of her daughter. It reflects on the stages of grief which she wrote about in her first book, 'One Step at a Time/Mourning a Child', (ISBN 978-0-9573670-3-6).

Now in, 'A Mother's Grief/Thirty Years On', she looks back to consider the long-term impact her tragic loss had on the way she continued to live and on the other members of her family; children and husband.

Betty's life changed forever when, Lisa, drowned in a tragic swimming pool accident. It is her personal story which led her on to offer support to other bereaved parents through, The Compassionate Friends. This is an international organisation which helps people come to terms with the loss of their children.

Betty has managed to find a true sense of peace in her heart and mind.
