Mummy Cry-baby

Ellen is newly arrived in London from County Cork, aged only 15. In 1960s' London, jobs were plentiful and the dance halls were a big draw every weekend, but there were dangers lurking in the form of young men ready to take advantage of Irish innocence.

Mummy Cry-baby is the true story of a young girl trapped into marrying young, and persistently abused. The struggle leaves Ellen fighting for her life, her home, her family, her religion. But it is also an uplifting account of survival against the odds.
