Born to a family of British diplomats during WWII, Venetia Rumbold was never expected to reach adulthood.

Struck with a life‐threatening encephalitis at the age of eight, her journey with God began when she was miraculously healed six years later. Remarkably, she grew up to work as a nurse in England before discovering the Youth With A Mission movement (YWAM). She served as a missionary with YWAM for over a decade, helping to establish vital ministries for the underprivileged in Colombia and Peru.

This book is the story of an invasion - God coming into a life of illness. But for Venetia, miraculous healing was just the beginning. Her call to South America taught her, slowly, what it means to live in God's kingdom. God creates a beautiful story from any life that belongs to him.
