The true story of Bombardier Ernest Carter who joined the army to serve King and Country. He became a prisoner of war in the Middle East. He was soon to be transferred to a camp in Italy. The Germans took over the camp from the departing Italians and he was in the process of being transferred to Germany when he made his bid for freedom.
