Taylor Spink Award for contributions to baseball writing, Hummel earns induction into the writer's wing of the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007. "The thing that's always impressed me and guys in the clubhouse is he has a true love for the game," Cardinals manager Tony La Russa said.
