About the Author
Carol Shaffer lives in Columbia, Illinois in suburban St. Louis. Most of her life has been centered around taking care of her family. She is the mother of three, a son and two daughters. She has been blest with eight beautiful grandchildren.
She did write a column for the local newspaper at one time. She was a Girl Scout leader, at the age of 53. She did not even start seriously contesting until she was in her late fifties. She belongs to the Columbia Woman's Club and to the American Legion Post Auxiliary. After her children were grown, she went back to college and finally got a degree. After a divorce, she took a job at the local WalMart because the scheduling permits her to work in the evening and devote her days to contesting.
There's nothing special about Carol Shaffer biographical background except that SHE WINS CONTESTS! If she can do it, so can you! That's why she decided to write Contest Queen, so everybody can share in the fun and excitement.
