Programming Games and Simulations

This book is about high-performance graphics programming using DirectX and specifically the DirectX component named Direct3D. It is designed to be used with DirectX 9.0c, which is the latest version of DirectX that is compatible with both Windows XP and Windows Vista.

This book assumes certain initial skills in the reader. These include a basic knowledge of C++ programming and minimal expertise in developing Windows applications. The reader with no Windows programming experience can refer to our book Windows Programming in C++.
