Great Black Swamp III: Historical Tales of Northwest Ohio

The final compendium in this trilogy continues the Black Swamp saga including the story of a young, French priest who first assignment was to wander the great marsh looking for souls to serve. Native Americans went about their daily lives while European immigrants left everything behind to make the grueling journey northwest Ohio and their experiences are remembered here. Five forts were built along the Maumee River between Toledo, Ohio and Fort Wayne, Indiana and each has a story to tell while more stories of the deadly and sometimes chaotic events that took place when the War of 1812 raged across the region emerge from the past.
