In 2085, Jake is hurtled through time on a mission to the future. A quantum, antimatter craft called the Time Train has been built by scientists at the mysterious Site R and concealed on the Moon. Jake's father, a time engineer, is keeping secrets, but what does he have to hide? After a catastrophic crash on a seemingly deserted Earth, Jake and his friends must search for answers to survive.

On the run from aliens with a band of fugitives, Jake's ability to use an alien galactic lens connects him to the universe. Clues at Microsoft and SETI lead Jake and his friends to Mars where a terrible fate awaits them. As time, itself, runs out he must hope that his message to the stars can save them all.
