Lake Lover's Year presents 115 full-color watercolors--85 of them painted from the same cottage window on Lake Michigan--with an accompanying journal describing a career writer's process of learning a new medium. The author records, both visually and verbally, the astonishing daily changing colors and moods of a Great Lakes beach, as well as scenes from beaches up and down Lake Michigan.
