So Smart Ya Stupid: A Cautionary Urban Tale

Shawn Karlson aka SB has been hustling and running the streets of North Philly since he was a young boy playing in the sewey holes. As he gets older he wants more-he wants a normal life as a family man. But even though he is extremely smart, sharp, has military skills and went to college on a scholarship as a teen for a short while he still chooses to go back to the streets time and time again. He's so smart he's stupid.

He's engaged to Kay Collins, a college girl whose own life went off-track when she got into the habit of dating Philly thugs. She keeps trying to change Shawn for the better, but instead only sees herself changing. She's so smart she's stupid.

Shawn's best friends Cage and Tino live opposite lives. Cage has two girlfriends-one who has been riding with him for years and another new young girl who thinks she's his main chick. He refuses to get married. Tino on the other hand is a man who made a choice a long time ago to loyally support and provide for his family no matter what. They have one thing in common though: they both let the streets pull them into instant drama. They're so smart they're stupid!

Will Shawn and crew be able to get it together? Or will they proudly don their dunce caps and sit in the corner as life passes them by?
