The book is possessed. For five thousand years an evil being has waited to escape. Five thousand years plotting revenge. Five thousand years going insane.

Trenton Hardin, a biology teacher, inherits an old book from his archeologist grandfather. The impulse to write progresses to urges, urges to demands and demands to overpowering obsession. With a mixture of guilt, terror and on the verge of madness Trent realizes that everything he writes comes true, the book is a living thing and he must find a way to destroy it. A battle of wills pitting human against supernatural ends at 6:01 on Oct. 23, 2012 in Willisville, Florida, a town of two thousand and seventy-six terrified souls.
