As a teenager in the 1950s, Bob Olson discovered the North Shore and the Gunflint Trail. Driving a "hand-me-down" Ford Model A truck, he fished, hunted and roamed throughout the lonely North. Eventually, he built a cabin on a Gunflint Trail lake, and later a second cabin where he now makes his home.
