It's 1929 on the shores of Lake Michigan. Prohibition will not end until 1933 and the Depression hardships are just beginning. An ambitious country girl takes on Chicago bootleggers in a struggle involving stacks of cash, tender romance and personal conflicts in a fast moving story. Flora's Money combines escapades of fictional characters and actual historic events, without relying on extreme violence or explicit sex.
The book is illustrated with character and place drawings, done in ink and scratchboard by the author.
