She Who Was Taken

A twin, Rosie Day is a Canadian Cree child who was thrust into human life on the crest of the killing blizzard striking the remote Ontario bush country in 1948. The stampeding gale nearly consumed the tiny winter camp along with its fragile occupants, a full term pregnant Sophie Henry. Sophie's husband Joseph Bluejay left their bush camp for help more than two days prior.
