Connor the Carver Carves Michigan's Symbols

Gary loves children, and demonstrating his chain-saw carving techniques for children. He expresses this love in his new book, which is about an artist named Conner who travels throughout the state of Michigan with his dog Riley. As Conner and Riley explore, they come upon each of the state's symbols, and Conner carves them. The book includes photographs of Gary's art, along with a fun story and illustrations. Kids will learn all about Michigan's symbols including the state bird, flower, stone, tree, fish, soil, gemstone, fossil, game mammal, reptile and wildflower.
