What Religion is Not

WHERE RELIGION PROMISES spirituality and freedom, love and peace, we find that it has quite a different reputation: "Religion is Dogma," "Religion is oppression," "Religion causes hate," "Religion is a sham." Over centuries of abuse, a wide gap has grown between what religion is and what it is known to be. In order to discuss what religion truly, we must begin by addressing what religion is not.

By examining how religion has weathered the ravages of time and human folly, What Religion is Not shows how the modern conception of religion has been torn away from its spiritual origins, but more importantly it clears away the rubble so that we may see those origins again.
