Shadows of the Flame

In Shadows of the Flame, a new fantasy series, a conflict is growing between magic users, known as Goithin, and Grange, an organization bent on the conquest and control of magic for its own purposes.

Caught in the crossfire of this undeclared war is Sarrak and his apprentice, a young girl named Fauna, whom he discovered struggling to survive in the aftermath of the massacre of her village. Whether prompted by compassion he could no longer feel, or inspired by her dogged determination to live, the ruthless assassin offered the girl a chance to be indentured to him, to learn his trade and follow his commands in exchange for his protection and vengeance.

As Sarrak's foes close in around him, Fauna, now loyal to her new benefactor, begins to find herself torn between two worlds. One full of conflict and death, the other beckoning for her to rediscover her lost innocence before it becomes too late.
