A Country Preachers Tale

I don’t know what time it was, but it was late. And my wife was in bed, and the kids were asleep. And by the light of that smothered fire and the oil lamp, I had the greatest thing, I think, to ever happen to me. It was like the Lord was in the room with me, like He was a-talking to me.

I laid my book down and got down on my knees and talked to my Master the best way I knew how. I didn’t know so much how to pray, but since it seemed like he was talking directly to me, I got real serious about it.
