Addition and Subtraction: Beyond Math Facts is a sequential 72-page workbook to help students understand and learn about place value as they add and subtract larger numbers.

Students first review a group of basic addition and subtraction facts, and then use those facts to learn how to add and subtract "beyond math facts" with two-, three- and four-digit numbers. There are problems with and without regrouping. This workbook also includes pages with word math problems.

The sequence in which addition and subtraction facts are reviewed is the same as in Two Plus Two Is Not Five, so the two books can be used together. For example, after math facts 4+4, 5+5, 6+6, and 7+7 are reviewed, students can learn how to add 54+4, 147+47 and 756+ 756. Since students are learning to regroup with facts they have already memorized, they will be able do the math without counting on fingers.

All pages in this printable workbook are perforated for easy tear-out, and for making copies. Teachers and parents will see that this book is perfect for children who have mastered basic addition and subtraction facts, and for those children who are still working on memorization. Many of the 54 worksheets have over 30 practice problems.
