A Gerbil Escapes!

Underneath the city streets, along a river that runs through the storm drains, a village takeover is being planned by a power-hungry rat.

At the same time, Earl J. Waggador, kind-hearted gerbil, has just escaped from his cage and is off to see the world but he accidentally falls through a storm grate. There, in the underworld, he overhears Ratchka and his crew planning to destroy a perfectly peaceful mouse village upstream. Earl tries to warn Whiskerville's citizens and, in particular, Daisy, but not before both of them are captured.

Two young mice volunteer to journey down uncharted waters to rescue Daisy. They set off down the tunnel's river, a place of flash battery floods, traffic-light induced tsunamis, and litter-jams that sometimes help them, sometimes challenge them. Following an action-packed escape, their return upstream finds Whiskerville in peril. It is up to Earl and his friends to save the village from the tin-can pipeline that threatens to funnel everything from the mouse village down to the Pits!
