Women in Prison: Women Finding Freedom

Based on the acclaimed success of the GOGI Campus Reentry Pilot Project, WOMEN IN PRISON: Women Finding Freedom explores the program’s simple tools for finding internal freedom. More than 150 detained women participated in the GOGI Campus Reentry Pilot Project held at the Los Angeles County Sherriff’s Department Century Regional Detention Facility for Women. Hailed as “a little miracle,” the GOGI Campus project has set the course for community collaboration reentry projects and is labeled as a shining example of “best practices” in prison education and reentry programs.

Through the inmates' contributions in art, poetry and inspirational life stories, the reader can explore the simple elegance of the GOGI Tools through the success of the original “GOGI Girls”.

WOMEN IN PRISON: Women Finding Freedom describes in simple detail the application of the techniques and GOGI Tools taught during the GOGI Campus pilot project.

With more than 70 percent of inmates failing to succeed outside of prisons and jails, the GOGI Campus Reentry Project participants experienced an unprecedented success rate of 97 percent.
