Eva's Secret

Eva is sure that nobody would have anything to do with her if they knew about her shameful past. Only her cat Tabita can be trusted to love her unconditionally. Tabita, on the other hand, glories in being the pride-mate of the top lioness--and puzzles over why Eva is not about the all-important business of making human kittens.

When the Inquisition destroys Eva's wealthy Jewish family, she and her brother become chattel to a rival merchant company and their sale put in charge of its frightening new majordomo.
