Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, is located just east of Wilmington. The town consists of a four-mile-long beach island, an interior island called Harbor Island, and a scattering of property on the mainland.
As you cross over the Causeway Drive draw bridge you will be treated to a spectacular view of the Intracoastal Waterway. This is just the beginning of a uniquely beautiful beach town that is endowed with many post card views.
This book is setup as a casual ride around the island starting from the Causeway Drawbridge and turning right onto Marina Street to view Motts Channel and of course the cool looking multistory boat storage and then down South Channel Drive to see the island from across Banks Channel.
Follow my trek south on Waynick Boulevard past the Carolina Yacht Club, the surfers at the Oceanic Pier, the southern side of the island to the Coast Guard Station and beyond. At the cross roads of North and South Lumina Avenue there are quaint shops and restaurants splashed with color and full of charm. Continue with me north by the Johnny Mercer Pier to the northern end of the island and a final trek back via the West Salisbury Bridge.
The final pages of the book display the beauty that only the night can bring.
I hope you enjoy my vision of Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. Jim Edwards
