The book details a spiritual journey out of a wilderness experience brought about when the author’s parents both passed away eleven weeks apart in 2001, during which time America was attacked on September 11. About a year later, still struggling to come to terms with the loss, the author acquired a puppy whom she named Bandit. In observing Bandit and her own interaction with him, she began to see some spiritual truths which she has translated into the charming stories that make up the book. This book would make a wonderful gift for animal lovers or for anyone grieving a loss. And here’s something terrific: Unlike many animal stories, the dog does not die at the end. Bandit is alive and well.
