On the Lord's Prayer

Our paramount objective in the Treasures of the Fathers of the Church Series is to introduce the believers to the trialogue of faith - the harmony among the Holy Bible, the Church Fathers, and the rites of the Coptic Orthodox Church. Throughout this symphony of discourse, the believer is not only enlightened by the Holy Scriptures, but is further illuminated through the homilies, exegeses, and commentaries of the Church Fathers. This is a brief and simple companion to the Coptic Orthodox lectionary. We hope and pray that through this series, the believer experiences the Holy Scriptures, the Church Fathers, and the Church rites as a deep source of blessing, wisdom, and faith. With great joy and enthusiasm, We present to you a collection of eight homilies delivered by St. Cyril of Alexandria "On the Lord's Prayer." These homilies are part of larger collection of sermons which St. Cyril seems to have preached extemporaneously, some on actual feast days.
