The American Privateer's Woman

By 1781, the American Revolutionary War has been raging for six years. Rebecca Stevens, a loyal British Tory living in the colony of South Carolina with her father, is stunned to discover that he is a spy for the American Continental Army. The local British authorities are about to discover his identity, and they execute traitors to the Crown by hanging. Rebecca convinces her father to flee with her and return to the safely of their English homeland.

Their ship is sunk in the Caribbean by a British warship. Adrift at sea and nearly drowned by a tropical storm, Rebecca is rescued by an American privateer, Captain Jonathan Rogue. Rebecca's quick tongue and flashes of temper immediately clash with his dark, brooding arrogance, but she finds him disturbingly attractive even though he is the enemy of her country.

Captain Rogue's heart has hardened against all women ever since his young bride betrayed and abandoned him while he was away at sea, but the temptation of Rebecca-this beautiful, courageous women with electric blue eyes and fiery red hair-inflames him with an all-consuming passion for her that he cannot resist.
