Prayers for Athletes

At age 14, J.R. Gamble went to a summer basketball camp to become a more skilled player, but "God had other plans" for him. In this valuable book for student-athletes, Gamble says, "God used a sport to give me something to live for, to teach me lessons, and to introduce Himself to me." J.R. Gamble is athletic director, bible teacher, and boys' basketball coach for Atlantic Christian Academy, in West Palm Beach, Florida. He has also been head coach at the junior college and semi-pro levels.
