Stories from Black Dog Ranch: Dog Tales about Hope and Second Chances

Hi, my name is Mia. I have lots of brothers and sisters and we all live with Ms. Charlene at Black Dog Ranch. Most of us are not true brothers and sisters, but we are a real family just the same. Ms. Charlene says what makes our family so special is a whole lot of variety.

Some of us are short and some are tall. Some have tails and some have no tails. Some of us are lean and some are a little plump. Some of us have ears that stand up and some have ears that are floppy. We even have a few horses living here at the ranch. I guess the reason Ms. Charlene named our farm the Black Dog Ranch is because most of us are black dogs and she said it just seemed fitting to name our farm the Black Dog Ranch. I have lots of stories about how we all came to live here so pull up a chair on the front porch and I'll get started.
