The Retriever

This is a story about how the Fourth Act of Creation was finally granted. It involves describing one person's thirty-year lifespan on Earth, culminating in his making a soul-wrenching plea at the end of that time frame. His life and that cry became the catalyst for him and his constant companion, a Tweed suitcase, to travel the length and breadth of the Universe and for him to eventually become the first Retriever.
