Now it seems a marriage is in the near future, it is a feeling, no commitments yet. Her home is located on top of the mountain in a community called Greening Heights. It is secluded since many of the residents are seasonal. She enjoys the solitude. It is a gated community so any knock on the door is someone you know. Knowing this the door is opened always without the customary question, 'Who is it?'.
That very fact throws Mary Ann's life into a tail spin. She answers the door to kidnappers. She is removed from the mountains she loves and starts the mental questions. Why would anyone kidnap me? What good is a seventy year old woman who is not wealthy, knows no politicians who could be bribed and is only a mother who loves her kids?
But Mary Ann has friends.
