The Bible tells us to seek so that we may find the essentials of salvation. It also says that only few of us will find it. That means they are not the obvious slogans that billions proclaim daily around the globe. We are urged to study to show ourselves approved, so that we won't be ashamed on that crucial day when we stand face to face with our Maker. Most study Bibles tell us the Name of the Almighty Creator; usually detailed in the study notes at the bottoms of pages or at the end of the Book. Thousands of verses emphasize the importance of our Heavenly Father's Name and tell us to use it. The average Christian will recite "The Lord's Prayer" 29,497 times in their life span. We rehearse the phrase "Hallowed be Thy Name" and teach it to our children, but seldom consider the words we are saying.
We listen to and/or participate in 20,160 religious songs and hymns in our life. Most of those songs refer to our Creator's Name as being Holy or mention praising His Name or include the word "HalleluYah" in it. Right under our noses are the clues that we are ignoring a significant part of our worship. Right out of our own mouths are uttered the instructions for what we should do: Praise His Holy Name! We know that "God" is not a name; and we know that "Lord" is not a name. Yet many of us follow the crowd, day in and day out, without questioning 'what is His Name?' and 'Why aren't we calling upon our Creator by His Name?' This book addresses the significance of these questions and their answers.
