A Little Humor Never Hurt Anyone

As we look back over our lives, we glory in our personal evolution. We have seen a lot of events happen, we have been a part of many events, maybe we have even caused some to occur, and we have achieved many accomplishments. We have shared our lives with many wonderful people! All of our encounters can be most fulfilling. Some events are even funny, some are historical, some have taught us lessons, and still others have happened that weren’t easy to analyze. All of these categories apply in some way to each of the stories in this book.

In the World War II Retrospective, you’ll see the VMail drawings I sent home to my parents during the war. Recently, my brother, Allan, told me that those VMails were eagerly anticipated every time the mail was delivered to the family. I hope you can benefit from my sharing them with you as well.

I hope you’ll enjoy the sprinkling of humor with which I have tried to enhance many of the other stories. All of the stories are truly worth reading!
