A Fighter All My Life

This is Sam Johnson's Story, in his own words. This book Began as Conversations, which were taped, transcribed and finally collected here. The events and impressions recorded here are what loomed large in the memory of one man who lived in Alabama under segregation and Jim Crow, then in Los Angeles, and Detroit during the social rebellions of the 1960s. Becoming aware in the early 1970s of what he calls "the big picture," Sam has been active ever since, not just as a fighter, but as a revolutionary militant of his class, the working class.
