Morgenstern's Spellbook

Morgenstern's Spellbook is a piece of forgotten history. Many decades ago, the wizard Rasmus Morgenstern began his short career as a little-known and largely overlooked rival to those great names of the arcane that adorn the standard spells of today. Following a generation behind the greats and fighting the perceived oppression and favoritism of the arcane elite, Morgenstern always strove to out-do what he considered to be stale unremarkable spells. Not only did he create his own unique spells, but he travelled the known world collecting the obscure spells and eldritch treatises of his fellow arcane misfits and outcasts. Encased within, you will find the definitieve collection of these spells, culled from the personal notebooks of Morgenstern himself. Morgenstern's Spellbook works well as a "random" treasure item, the showpiece of an NPC's private library, or (broken into volumes) as the hook for an item-collection plot.
