Wondrous Ways

16-year-old Andy Jacobs, sole caretaker of his dying mother, has no other family. As their money diminishes, he resorts to stealing food.

76-year-old Mary Jefferson, whose favorite saying is "God works in wondrous ways," catches him red-handed in her kitchen-bible and shotgun in her hand. She befriends him with her wisdom, using church and her large family.

Andy and his mother gain the help they need, giving Mary a new purpose in life and reuniting her family. Andy discovers the father he never knew and gains a family of his own.
