LOVE AND KINDNESS
READ THIS BOOK!
Shnnoogle Lost In The Wastelands by Constance Douglas is more than a warm/fuzzy, fun adventure. This story approaches self empowerment, inspiring children to choose love and kindness over fear and doubt, in a surprisingly unique way.
This book personifies or really animates in two fuzzy/furry creatures love and kindness, Shnnoogle, and fear and doubt, Krudgel. Enhancing a child's imagination, children can now witness how love-Shnnoogle grows, empowers and unites them through faith and sharing and how fear -Krudgle seeks every opportunity to grab hold and hault them from positive movement when allowed.
The story is about Rita Rabbit whose baby, Sunny, gets lost in the desert. Rita panics when she realizes Sunny is gone. A tortoise, chipmunk, a stuffed Panda (who comes to life) and Angie, the Panda's owner, join in Rita's mission to rescue her baby. .
Confronted by numerous, harrowing challenges in their pursuit to find Sunny. Will their positive thoughts (Shnnoogle) unite them in banishing their negative fears and lead them to Sunny? or will (Krudgel) reign and take hold, preventing them from saving their wee friend?
The illustrations having the feeling of an animated cartoon. The characters are always in motion as they spring into action to save Sunny. Douglas is a painter so the illustrations are clearly by her hand, not the computer generated, software-driven type so ubiquitous on television or in children's books today.
Activities include a recipe for -Shnnoogle Doodle Cookies, to enjoy sharing.
