Moral Hazard_a Wall Street Thriller

MORAL HAZARD combines murder mystery with the frenzy of Wall Street during a financial crisis unlike the world has ever seen. Dispatched to the financial district in Manhattan, NYPD Inspector Michael Halloway encounters more than just the mutilated body of Gemma Woodrow. At first, the murder appears to have been a sexual assault, until the medical examiner confirms that Gemma was dead when her assailant inflicted the wounds. Halloway discovers a darker side of the mortgage industry in which she was employed-that prostitution exists between the mortgage brokers and wholesalers. He suspects that the murder was staged and in his pursuit of the owner of a large investment bank, uncovers information that threatens his life. What Halloway does not expect is that an addiction he battled with years ago is about to emerge as he sinks deeper into the dissolute world he seeks to condemn.
