This book is two stories: One is of an aged electrical engineer who served his country in WWII and returned to help build a community in the depths of Appalachia. He comes to know the Divine within, moving between ethereal realms and mystical experiences. The other is of a young skeptic who grew up in the same community but has left it to climb the tiers of academia. She is called back to her roots and opened up to a spiritual path. They are divinely bound together in the most unlikely of unions.
