The Music of Bees - Poems by Gwendolynn

In the pages of "The Music of Bees," Gwendolynn Smith Patterson's poetry portrays the struggle of finding a spiritual path while working toward acceptance of living with a bipolar disorder and its cycles.
In 2001, a car accident left her with a head injury and in the same year she received a bipolar diagnosis; a mercurial roller coaster.
Patterson's expression of this struggle is made richer with her whimsical and tender view of nature; and offers glimpses of life on Madeline Island, located in Lake Superior across from Bayfield, Wisconsin. This is Patterson's first book of poetry.
