While You Were Gone Year Two

I wrote this book to chronicle my daughter's Rose's life for her. I started to write this book and the previous one for her dad who was serving over in Iraq when she was born. Fathers miss so much when they are serving overseas. I am blessed on a daily basis to see my Rose grow and to see Rose's personality coming forward. I hope everyone enjoys seeing Rose grow up as I have.
I wanted to share this story with the entire Armed Forces-moms and dads who are left behind and raising children that either have not met their parent or, if they did, only very briefly. The parents left behind are blessed by a parental love which is beyond words; however, we are challenged, lonely, and sometimes frustrated. We are on the battlefield of parenthood raising the next generation to make their country proud.
