When Anneke Horvath Barrow from Long Island, nose-dives into a puddle of water on a cobble- stoned sidewalk in a quaint little town in Hungary, she is saved by Dean O'Connor from Canada, who lithely lifts her to her feet. Mortally embarrassed, instead of thanking him, she tells him to get lost. He doesn't shy away and the mishap develops into a sizzling relationship until she learns the truth. He's a big-time all for profit shameless developer and she is a fierce environmentalist. And he's planning to destroy her precious villa on the hill, complete with hobby vineyards and cellars. The loving sparks between them turn nasty. Determined to save the hilltop and its vineyards, she discovers bribery, drug dealers, and criminals, all in her own backyard. With the help of two friends, she forges ahead to expose the crimes, risking her own safety and happiness.
