The Earth and Space Science Laboratory launched into service in 1962. For 50 years school students and the Frederick County community have benefited from visiting this specialized science facility and participating in its unique and innovative programs. Over half a million visitors have been motivated to think, ask questions, dream, be curious and wonder as they have learned about the Earth and its place in space.
