Mirage of Truth

Entangled in a delusion of desires, a gambler, a mercenary, and a warlord try to harness a seasoned woman as their possession. But she is an America woman, a Jersey girl who is not about to become any man's captured butterfly. But...and yes, there are always "buts" which have entangled her within their mirage of truth...only a poker game can determine her fate because the cards have no memory. They come together in a New Jersey Casino with unquestionable wealth, indomitable power, alluring beauty as well as the memories of past lies and transgressions. They are broken shells on the Atlantic City beach, fractured and resigned that what they will be has already been determined.
The five chapters of Mirage of Truth unfold the rules of a poker game: the Deal, the Flop, the Turn, the River, the Showdown. As each new card is dealt, the characters shred another illusion in the mirage, drawing them closer to the truth. Passions lead them to the final showdown where they will sit at the gaming table to face not only each other, but themselves. If they can finally accept the truth, they can obtain the honor which they never were able to have in their lives and forgive themselves for past mistakes. For a life without honor or forgiveness, is a life not worth living!
