A few years ago, Lori Polk decided to put her trust and faith in God for every area of her life. When friends asked why she was always smiling, she'd tell them it's because of God, and they always wanted to know more.

When Lori asked God about His will for her life, she heard Him tell her, "Write." Even though that was her secret desire, she knew it was a dream that only happened to other people. She was certain that couldn't be God's voice she was hearing. And yet it persisted. Lori ultimately learned that when you seek God's will, He gives you the desires of your heart.

"To me, faith is believing that God is who He says He is; trust is believing that God will do what He says He will do; and obedience is showing God that I have faith and trust in Him."
